TOBS BASEBALL MAKES THE MOVE: NEW SMITHFIELD HOME, NEW BALLPARK, NEW LOOK
Smithfield, NC – November 19th, 2025 – Wilson Tobs Baseball, one of North Carolina’s most storied summer collegiate baseball teams, is embarking on a new era. The team will relocate to Smithfield, NC, and take the field as The Smithfield Tobs and The JoCo TaterHogs. The move comes as part of a strategic partnership with Johnston County and the Town of Smithfield to bring a first-class baseball & entertainment experience to the region.
