Applications are being accepted for the 2026 Class of Leadership Johnston. Leadership Johnston is a professional development program coordinated by Johnston Community College and the Johnston County Coalition of Chambers of Commerce. The mission of the program is to cultivate leaders by providing knowledge, motivation and networking needed to affect positive change.

The program is open to professionals at all stages of their careers, the only requirement- a willingness to learn and participate. 

“Our firm has sent numerous team members through the program throughout the years,” said Jason Wenzel partner at Narron Wenzel, PA. “As a 2008 participant I am still close with a number of my classmates. Whether an employee is new to North Carolina or grew up in Johnston County the program teaches more than just landmarks and agencies. The training and networking across multiple professions, businesses, government agencies and nonprofits makes the experience truly unique and well worth the investment.”

Applications will be accepted until September 30. The application requires a letter of reference. Tuition for the program is $1750 with a $500 discount for members of the Johnston County Coalition of Chambers of Commerce. Limited scholarships are available.
