Selma, N.C. — On February 19, 2026, Hope Center Ministries will host Beyond the Blind at Johnston Community College, a faith-centered gathering intended to raise funds for recovery housing and related mental health and reentry services in eastern North Carolina.
The event is expected to draw more than 1,000 attendees. Proceeds will support Hope Center Ministries’ residential recovery programs and the development of a new men’s recovery facility in Selma, increasing access to housing and support services for individuals recovering from substance use disorder, navigating reentry, or experiencing homelessness.
“Successful reintegration requires more than sobriety alone,” said Mark Hall, Vice President of Partnerships for Hope Center Ministries. “Stable housing, mental health care, workforce preparation, and structured reentry services are critical, particularly in rural communities, where access to these resources remains limited.”
The program will include worship and personal testimony, along with a keynote address by Jase Robertson, known through the television series Duck Dynasty and his work with Duck Commander. Mr. Robertson is participating in support of the organization’s mission and will speak about faith, recovery, and family restoration.
Hope Center Ministries operates residential recovery programs that combine housing with faith-based care, workforce development training, and community service. The organization oversees 57 recovery homes nationwide, including seven in North Carolina. Earlier this year, it expanded its presence in Johnston County by opening a women’s recovery home in Wilsons Mills. Two months ago, Hope Center Ministries relocated its 24-hour call center from Oklahoma to Selma, North Carolina. The center now provides around-the-clock access to crisis support, reentry assistance, recovery referrals, and intake coordination for individuals and families nationwide.
Funds raised through Beyond the Blind will support program operations, workforce initiatives, residents and the development of the Selma men’s facility, which is expected to serve as a regional hub for recovery and reentry services.
Beyond the Blind will take place on Thursday, February 19, 2026. Doors open at 4:00 p.m., with the program beginning at 7:00 p.m.Information about the event and ticket availability can be found at www.beyondtheblind.com.
