Community Leaders Honored at Legacy Awards

The Triangle East Chamber of Commerce celebrated outstanding individuals and organizations at the annual Legacy Awards, held on May 29th at The Farm at 95. Presented by Brightspeed, the evening recognized excellence in leadership, service, and impact across the region.

The Legacy Awards continue the Chamber’s tradition of honoring those who exemplify dedication to the growth and vitality of the Triangle East region. With community members, business leaders, and local officials in attendance, the night was a powerful reminder of the lasting legacies being built each day.

One of the night’s most anticipated moments came with the announcement of the Emerging Leader Award, which was presented to Nicole Youngblood. Nicole’s commitment to community growth and her vision for a thriving future made her a standout among a remarkable group of nominees. Her leadership, innovation, and passion for service are already making a meaningful impact in our region.

In addition to honoring Nicole Youngblood, the Triangle East Chamber also presented the following Legacy Awards:

  • Citizen of the Year Award – Lynn Stanley of the Boys and Girls Club of Johnston County 
  • Jimmy Creech Businessperson of the Year Award – Dr. Kathleen Coates of Coates Hearing Clinic
