Boys & Girls Clubs Youth Leader Addresses County Commissioners, Prepares to Represent Johnston County at Statewide Conference

 Boys & Girls Clubs of Johnston County is proud to announce that Kaylin G. has been selected as this year’s YouthVoice representative, chosen to represent Johnston County at the North Carolina Association of County Commissioners’ (NCACC) Annual ConferenceYouthVoice 2025 event, scheduled for August 21–23, 2025, in Pitt County. As part of her YouthVoice journey, Kaylin delivered a confident and impactful presentation before the Johnston County Commissioners on July 21 at 10:00 a.m. Her topic, “The Importance of Boys & Girls Clubs for Children in Johnston County,” captured the attention and admiration of everyone present.
During the session, Kaylin spoke clearly and confidently, sharing her personal experiences and emphasizing the vital role Boys & Girls Clubs play in the lives of local youth.
 
“This was an unforgettable moment not only for Kaylin, but for all of us who have watched her grow into a confident young leader,” said Kourtney Bowden, Club Director for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Johnston County. “She exemplifies what our Clubs stand for, developing young people into responsible, engaged citizens ready to make a difference in their communities.”
 
Kaylin will join other teen representatives from Boys & Girls Clubs and 4-H programs across North Carolina at YouthVoice 2025, a prominent event of the NCACC Conference. YouthVoice aims to educate students about the role of local government, promote civic engagement, and empower the next generation of leaders. Boys & Girls Clubs of Johnston County thanks the Johnston County Commissioners for their ongoing support and encouragement of youth leadership.
