2023 Legacy Award Honorees

Lifetime Achievement Award
Presented to a citizen or citizens who, over their lifetime, have consistently served the Triangle East region with outstanding ability and dedication by voluntarily giving of their time, talent and energies without remuneration.
This year's award is presented to John Parrish.

Citizen of the Year Award
Presented to a citizen or citizens who, over the last year, have consistently served the Triangle East region with outstanding ability and dedication by voluntarily giving of their time, talent and energies without remuneration.
This year's award is presented to Ron Hester.

Jimmy Creech Small Businessperson of the Year Award
This award is given in memory of 1976 Board Chair Jimmy Creech who operated Creech’s Pharmacy in downtown Smithfield for over 50 years. It is presented to the outstanding small business owner in the community based on success, longevity and commitment to the community.
This year's award is presented to Zena Rose of Coffee on Raiford.
